Westgate Youth Project is a not for profit organisation that is positive about Thanetβs young people and works with 10 β 19 year olds. Through genuine partnerships with them, their families, voluntary organisations, statutory agencies and the local community, we seek to ensure young people have their needs met and voices heard. Westgate Youth Project does this through a robust, inclusive, dynamic and engaging curriculum delivered by innovative youth workers committed to supporting young people with all aspects of their personal and social development.
Westgate Youth Project runs a lottery funded youth club called The Umbrella Club for young people with hidden disabilities every Thursday evening in Westgate on Sea.
Registered Charity Number 1176956
This grant has been made from the Children, Young People and Families theme, a charitable fund of Kent Community Foundation.
We are delighted to announce that we have received funding from Kent Community Foundation, this funding ensures that we can continue to run The Umbrella Club, a youth provision for young people with hidden disabilities. Without this funding we would not be able to ensure that young people with hidden disabilities in Thanet can continue access a safe place to spend their social leisure, make new friends and access new opportunities.
