Youth Workers
Meet the Youth Workers
All of the youth workers are appropriately trained and competent using NYA Professional and National Occupational Standards for Youth Work as a guide and have current enhanced DBS certificates. The youth workers take part in regular ongoing professional development.
Youth Work Manager
I’m Paula and I am the manager at the project. I have worked for Westgate Youth Project since 2012 and became the manager in 2013. I have worked with young people for more years than someone of my age can remember!!!
I manage the team of paid and voluntary youth workers that you can read about below – they are a great bunch of people. We are all dedicated to supporting teenagers in their personal development, it’s about creating professional relationships and getting any young person what they need to achieve. The best bit about my job, when you get rid of the boring paperwork is spending time with some seriously great teenagers and having fun with them while they grow as people. I hope to meet you soon 🙂
Please scroll through our youth workers and find a out a little more about them!!
Helen
Helen joined the project as a volunteer in 2015. She wanted to find a way to give back to the community, develop new skills and make a difference to young people's lives. Helen is always on hand to give young people information, advice and guidance and inspire them with creative activities.
